My thoughts : First off I'd like to say a huge thank you to Mel Comley, Tracey Fenton and The Book Club for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
In my haste to say I'd review this book I didn't realise it was book number 11, I was hesitant to start it after realising as I haven't read any of the books previous to this one, but there was no need to worry as this book works as a stand alone as well as part of the series. A couple of times there are some references to story's in the past but it didn't matter and it's just made me want to read the other 10 books now.
The story is well written and from page one it's gripping, it's fast paced and the characters are easy to get to know. Through out the book the surprises keep coming and when you think it's starting to wind down, boom you're hut again with more shocks and twists. I really don't want to give to much away, but Mel has done an incredibly good job of telling the story of a difficult subject and the book comes together fantastically. I have to admit I did shed a few tears.
I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who likes thrillers, police procedural or just anyone who likes a blooming good edge of your seat story.
